It’s really nice to know exactly what your next move is.
I’m a big fan of practicing yoga at home for a few reasons.
- I love to do exactly what my body needs that day
- There’s no (outside) judgment or competition
- I get to practice in a place that I’m super comfortable.
However, I’m not a huge fan of doing the same poses every single time I practice……..EXCEPT sometimes when I just need to.
Sometimes, like today, when I’m feeling restless and unsure of what my next move in “life” is, I make my yoga practice that much more predictable.
For me I use the Ashtanga primary series for times like this. I don’t have to think about what comes next. I don’t have to think about how long to hold the poses. I don’t have to try to figure anything out. I don’t even have to try to pick a play list, because traditionally ashtanga is practiced with no music.
I get to just let my body DO….While my mind gets to BE!
And that for me is the antidote for a restless and unsure mind.
