Hips! Hips! Hips!
The yogis say that we carry all of our tension, stress and anxiety about the future in our hips. And by stretching that part of our body we allow those emotions to release from the tissues and pass (out) through the breath! Whether that’s true or not, settling into a nice pigeon pose on a regular basis keeps our much used hip joints mobile and our pelvis stabilized so that we move with ease and stand with grace. Check out this short yoga tutorial on pigeon pose (kapatasana) to get the most out of your hip stretchy-ness
